Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 17, 2026
Wandalands Vineyard and Orchards, LLC (“Wandalands,” “we,” “us”) operates this website and the farm at 113 Barnes Road, Jackson, Georgia 30233. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, shop with us, register for an event, or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website only, not to third-party sites we link to.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Orders. When you buy from our online shop we collect your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, and the details of what you ordered. You can check out as a guest or create an account.
- Payment. Card and digital-wallet payments (Apple Pay, Google Pay) are processed by our payment provider, WooPayments, which is operated by Stripe. Your full card number is entered directly with the payment provider and never stored on our servers. We see only the last four digits, the card type, and the payment status.
- Account. If you create an account, we store your login email, password (encrypted), saved addresses, and order history so you can track orders and check out faster.
- Messages and inquiries. When you use a form on this site (general contact, venue rental, photography and film, land consulting) we collect the information you enter, typically your name, email address, phone number, and the details of your request.
- Email updates. If you sign up for farm updates, we collect your email address.
- Product reviews. If you leave a review, we collect the name you provide, your email address, and the review itself. The name and review are published; your email address is not.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives your IP address. We do not use it to identify you personally.
- Shop cookies. Our shop sets cookies to keep track of your cart, keep you signed in to your account, and remember your session during checkout. These are necessary for the shop to work.
- Spam protection. Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to block automated submissions. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sends it to Google for analysis. Its use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, which we use for security and troubleshooting.
How we use your information
- To process, pack, ship, and deliver your orders, and to send order confirmations, shipping notifications, and receipts.
- To answer your questions and respond to venue, photography, film, and consulting inquiries.
- To manage your account and your order history.
- To send farm updates, seasonal availability, and event news, if you have asked for them. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To prevent fraud, protect the site, and comply with legal obligations such as tax and accounting records.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who need it to do work on our behalf, and only what they need:
- Payment processing — WooPayments / Stripe, to take your payment and detect fraud.
- Shipping — the United States Postal Service and any other carrier we use, who receive your name, address, and phone number to deliver your order.
- Email delivery — the service that sends our order confirmations and replies.
- Website hosting and analytics — our hosting provider and Google Analytics.
- Event registration — some events use a third-party ticketing service. When you register there, that service’s privacy policy applies to the information you give it, and it shares your registration with us.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our Terms & Conditions, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Wandalands, our visitors, or others.
Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The shop will not work correctly without its necessary cookies, but the rest of the site will. To opt out of Google Analytics across all websites, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as we are required to keep them for tax and accounting purposes. Account information is kept until you ask us to delete your account. Inquiry messages are kept as long as needed to respond and follow up. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ standard retention settings.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, subject to records we are legally required to keep. Signed-in customers can update their addresses and details at any time under My Account. For anything else, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS, passwords are stored encrypted, and payment details are handled entirely by our payment provider. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children
Our website and online shop are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site and our services change. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be noted on this page.
